Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza Announces Grand Opening of First Kentucky Location

Free Pizzas for Blaze Pizza Fans on Tuesday, June 10 at the New Louisville, KY Restaurant

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2014) - Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza today announced the Monday, June 9 opening of its newest location in Louisville, Kentucky. To celebrate, the company is set to offer FREE build-your-own artisanal pizzas on Tuesday, June 10, between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. The 2,300 square foot restaurant is located in Louisville's Shelbyville Road Plaza (4600 Shelbyville Road,) near Nordstrom Rack and Trader Joe's.

Blaze Pizza uses an interactive ordering format that allows guests to create their own custom artisanal pizzas at lightning fast speed -- each for under $8. The generously sized personal pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven -- the centerpiece of the restaurant -- where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are "fast-fire'd" in less than 180 seconds. Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch using a recipe developed by critically-acclaimed Executive Chef Brad Kent ("The Pizza Whisperer"), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. The restaurant's menu of pizzas and salads uses fresh ingredients ranging from inventive to classic and accommodates a range of dietary needs, with a gluten-free dough and vegan cheese option. The restaurant will also offer a selection of wine and craft beer.

"Kentuckians love pizza, but they really don't have a good way to enjoy a quality pie without the wait," said Brad Kent, Executive Chef of Blaze Pizza. "Blaze Pizza is all about letting folks enjoy custom-built artisanal pizzas at crazy fast speed. It's a concept I'm thrilled to lend my expertise to."

The Louisville Blaze Pizza will be operated by The Millennial Restaurant Group, one of the largest Blaze franchisees, which plans to develop restaurants in Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida. The partnership consists of James Patterson Sr., Jim Patterson II, Ulysses (Junior) Bridgeman, Wayne Albritton and Collins Cogan. The partners are seasoned restaurant industry professionals who have owned and operated numerous successful restaurants in the Louisville and Kentucky markets for decades.
