OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 10, 2014) - Editors note: There is one photo accompanying this press release.

Amika Mobile's award winning platform, the Amika Mobility Server (AMS), which provides critical and emergency communications, was selected by the Albany Veterans Administration (VA) Stratton Medical Center in New York. The Albany VA is one of approximately 1000 facilities in the US under the jurisdiction of the VA. The AMS was delivered in partnership with Condortech Integrated Security Services of Virginia.

"It is exciting to have been selected by the Albany Stratton VA because of our product's innovative features and its integration with physical systems such as Access Control and SIP paging systems so that the VA may use it for a wide range of targeted critical and emergency situations," said Amika Mobile CEO Dr. Sue Abu-Hakima.

The AMS enables situational awareness, information sharing, rapid 2-way communications across devices and networks, and control through advanced integration with physical security to issue lockdowns or turn on strobe lights, etc. AMS can trigger any of 20 plus layers of alerts to VoIP, SMS, Pop-ups, web, overhead monitors, digital signs, twitter, tickers, etc. based on sensor events from access control equipment, fire panels, camera systems, building automation systems, government agency or weather alerting feeds, panic buttons, etc

Market Analysts Research and Markets estimate the size of the emergency management and incident management market to be $69.47 Billion growing to $93.39 Billion by 2018 at an estimated CAGR of 6%. This market includes critical and emergency communications integrated with physical security systems for access control and paging such as those adopted by the Albany Stratton VA.

Demonstrations of the AMS critical and emergency capabilities and Amika®Panic for Mobile will be showcased at the annual International Campus Law Enforcement conference, IACLEA 2014, in Montreal June 20 to 21 at booth #31. AMS and Amika®Panic will also be demonstrated at the 60th international industrial security professionals' tradeshow, ASIS 2014 from September 29 to October 2 in Atlanta, Georgia at booth #1311 Partner Command Center.
