Saints Giving Back Courtesy of Topline Federal Credit Union

First 1,935 Fans Will Receive $1 at June 19 Game to Be Given Back to Local Non-Profits

MAPLE GROVE, MN--(Marketwired - Jun 10, 2014) - Whether it's donating time to a worthy cause, giving money to your favorite charity or helping family or friends in need, many of us could do a little more. The St. Paul Saints in conjunction with partner TopLine Federal Credit Union will make giving back as easy as showing up to a baseball game during the Dollar Dance Game on June 19.

While many teams give away bobbleheads, caps or baseballs, the Saints and TopLine Federal Credit Union are giving away cold hard cash. The first 1,935 fans through the gates prior to the 7:05 p.m. game against the Lincoln Saltdogs will receive $1. The 1935 represents the year TopLine Federal Credit Union opened its doors. There is one catch, however, but one that allows fans to help out worthy causes. Inside the front gates 10 Twin Cities non-profit charitable organizations will be on hand generating interest about their organizations. Fans are asked to donate their dollar to the non-profit of their choice, and all fans are encouraged to dig into their own pockets for some spare change to support these worthwhile causes. The goal: to promote the importance of giving back to our communities.

"This promotion drew so much interest that it made sense to bring it back this year," said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer. "When other sports teams followed our lead after seeing how successful this promotion was last year, TopLine Federal Credit Union and the Saints realized how powerful a little giving can go."

"TopLine is once again honored to participate in this unique give-back night with the St. Paul Saints, to help support some great local non-profit charitable organizations," says Tom Smith, TopLine President and CEO. "Every donation, small or large, helps make a difference and we are always glad to lend a hand."

Last year many of the non-profit organizations were very creative in how they got fans to donate the dollar to their cause. There was music played by one organization, prize wheels and even cute canines.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3, August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket. Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (July 3, August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
