Gaming Standards Association (GSA) Partners With Clarion Events at GiGse 2014

Join GSA for a Special Briefing on Harmonization & Update on Online Gaming Standards

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jul 1, 2014) - The importance of standards for the iGaming industry will be a key focus of an intense presentation at GiGse 2014 by the Gaming Standards Association (GSA), the leading standards-setting body for the global gaming industry,

GSA is an official sponsor of GiGse, which takes place July 14-16 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. GSA members get a 10 percent discount on a GiGse Conference pass. To take advantage of this special offer, members should contact Shane.Mortimer@clarionevents.com.

The partnership between GSA and Clarion is highlighted when GSA's Protocol Director, Ethan Tower, will address attendees in the session, "Gaming Standards Association Briefing: Making the Worldwide Harmonization of Online Gaming Possible." The session is on day 2 of the conference, Tuesday, July 15 from 2:40 - 4:10 p.m. (Pacific Time) in the Golden Gate Room. GSA's President, Peter DeRaedt and Mario Galea of Random Consulting will also participate on the panel. In the session, attendees will gain a better understanding of the fact that as iGaming becomes a reality in more jurisdictions, the need for standards is becoming increasingly apparent. Operators and regulators are looking for standards-based solutions to common industry problems.

Examples of common problems that could be solved by standards are third-party game integration, payment processing, geo-location, central monitoring and regulatory reporting. During this session, GSA will discuss its efforts to bring standardization and harmonization to iGaming and its view of the future.

GSA's Online Gaming Committee is moving quickly to develop an online gaming standard addressing these issues. Only GSA members can participate, and online gaming companies are encouraged to join GSA to ensure their voice is heard.

GSA has a wide range of membership options to meet any organization's size, budget and business goals. GSA representatives can help you decide which level is best for you anytime at www.gamingstandards.com.
