Pataki-Cahill Group and Darholding Join Forces to Develop and Commercialize Novel Technologies for Environmental Remediation

NEW YORK, NY and BUDAPEST, HUNGARY--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2014) -   Darholding and Pataki-Cahill Group announced today the signing of an agreement to jointly develop and commercialize the proprietary environmental remediation technology that was developed and patented by Darholding.

The technology developed in the Innovation Technology Laboratories of Darholding and of its sister companies, ThalesNano and ComInnex, is an extension of the microfluidics based platform owned and covered by the Darholding group. It has the potential to remediate harsh contaminants such as PCBs and similar toxic materials from soil and river sediments effectively and can be extended into fracking water treatment as well.

Under the terms of the agreement Pataki-Cahill Group will help establish US subsidiaries and develop partnerships for field validation and scale up of the technology to commercially viable systems.

"The Darholding group of companies has a long history of global success in developing novel disruptive technologies and transforming them to commercial application," said Governor Pataki, the principal of the Pataki-Cahill Group. "We look forward to expediting the development of this technology as well as demonstrating its ability to clean difficult to remediate sites. We believe that our combined efforts can really make a difference in this field."

"Darholding is proud to join forces with the Pataki-Cahill group that has a long history and track record in the field of expediting the development of environmental technologies," said Dr. Ferenc Darvas, President and Chairman of Darholding. "The Pataki-Cahill group has successfully commercialized technologies in other breakthrough areas such as waste water treatment. We believe that the green track record of the Group is a great assurance that we can succeed in developing breakthrough results in the next few years in this field."
