Cloud Elements Appoints Jim Franklin to Board of Directors

SendGrid CEO Helps Company Build Out Developer Focused Business Model


DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2014) - Leading cloud API integration and aggregation service, Cloud Elements, today announced that Jim Franklin, chief executive officer of SendGrid, has joined their board of directors. Franklin also serves on the board of aWhere, Inc., Denver Software Club, SlamData and TapInfluence.

Franklin joined SendGrid as CEO in 2011, and has led the company in becoming today's top transactional email delivery and management service. Franklin has helped build out their developer-focused business model. Prior to joining SendGrid, Franklin was the Vice President of Enterprise Performance Management and the General Manager of the Crystal Ball Global Business Unit of Oracle Corporation. The Crystal Ball Global Business Unit was formed in 2007 as a part of the acquisition of Hyperion Solutions, where he served as VP and General Manager. Franklin held the roles of Decisioneering's CEO, CFO and VP of Sales prior to Decisioneering's acquisition by Hyperion. Franklin was also the founder of webfamilies.com and the CFO of Vericept Corporation.
