Kaseya Appoints Two New Executives to Management Team, Strengthening Its HR and General Counsel Functions

Kaseya Appoints Maribeth Bearfield to EVP of Human Resources and Michael Pellini as General Counsel

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2014) - Kaseya, the leading provider of cloud-based IT management software, today announced two additions to its executive team: Executive Vice President of Human Resources (HR), Maribeth Bearfield, and General Counsel, Michael Pellini.

Maribeth Bearfield brings more than twenty years of experience in organizational development and human resources to Kaseya. Maribeth most recently served as the EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer for The Hanover Group. There, she led a team of over 100 HR professionals to successfully implement a revitalization of the organization's HR department and establish international standards to drive corporate momentum. Prior to The Hanover Group, Maribeth served as Chief Talent Officer for State Street and held earlier leadership roles at Cisco, Oracle and Verizon.

"Kaseya is at an incredibly exciting phase in its development," said Maribeth Bearfield, Kaseya's Executive Vice President of HR. "The company is leading change in the IT management space and this is fueling the next phase of growth for the business. I'm thrilled to join at this time in order to help structure and deliver on our growth and business goals."

Michael Pellini joins Kaseya as General Counsel where he will drive the company's legal team. Michael brings more than 25 years of experience at leading technology companies in various corporate counsel positions. Prior to joining Kaseya, Michael was Deputy General Counsel for six years at Unica Corporation, where he helped to take the company public while growing revenues from $60 million to more than $125 million during his tenure, prior to its acquisition by IBM Corporation. At IBM Michael served as counsel for an additional three years. Michael was also Director, Legal Affairs at publicly held Art Technology Group (ATG) and held similar positions at both Hilton Hotels and Bayer Corporation.

"The opportunity to work for a company with Kaseya's market potential doesn't present itself every day," said Michael Pellini, General Counsel for Kaseya. "Providing the legal structure and support for Kaseya's rapid and sustained business growth is incredibly exciting."

Both executive appointments come on the heels of a transformative year for Kaseya. The acquisition of Kaseya by Insight Venture Partners and the appointment of Yogesh Gupta as President and CEO in June 2013, were followed quickly by the addition of several key new management team members. The company since has transformed its engineering to a completely agile development model, and has delivered two high quality major product releases under this model already. Kaseya also acquired leading products for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) management, cloud and service level management and cloud application administration to complement its portfolio. As a result of these changes and more, the company has shown strong business growth and customer acquisition success. The appointment of accomplished industry leaders like Maribeth and Michael will help Kaseya continue to drive and support its growth and success in the market.
