SYLVANIA, OH--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2014) - Root Inc. today announced its cinematic storytelling work garnered five Telly Awards for 2014, including one Silver and four Bronze statuettes in a variety of categories. The competition includes submissions from more than 12,000 entrants from all 50 states and numerous countries. This is the third year that Root has been recognized with multiple Telly Awards for its project work.

Root's five winning entries include branding work, employee communications, and B2B commercial campaigns. In the 35th Annual Telly Awards, Root received awards for the following projects:

  • Root's "Brand Launch" video, which garnered Silver in the Corporate Image category. The video helped explain the rebrand of the company, breaking down in simple terms what the organization is all about.
  • A Food Service Organization's "Why Data," video was created to help set the tone for a change in the organization; A Pet Supplier's "The Power of Together" video was designed to build excitement and engagement for its new customer service strategy and its "Brand Promise Documentary," a film created to showcase a "bright spot" location doing customer service well. All three won Bronze Awards in the Employee Communications category.
  • A Hotel Chain's culture video won Bronze for B2B Internet Commercial Campaign. The series was launched to create interest, inspire, connect, and create ambassadors for the organization's culture movement.

"We are so very proud of our cinematic storytelling team and the work that led to winning these Telly Awards," said Jim Haudan, CEO of Root Inc. "At Root, we believe a company is only as successful as the employees who work for it. Being honored by the Tellys for deliverables we created for our own brand launch and most importantly for the work we created on our clients' behalf demonstrates the excellence and commitment to which everyone at Root contributes."

About the Telly Awards
The Telly Awards, founded in 1979, is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs; the finest video and film productions; and online commercials, video, and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

A prestigious judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of the Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Entries do not compete against each other; rather, entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10 percent of entries are chosen as winners of the Silver Telly, the awards' highest honor. Approximately 25 percent of entries are chosen as winners of the Bronze Telly.

"The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video," said Linda Day, executive director of the Telly Awards. "Root Inc.'s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production."
