Amlan International Introduces Varium(R), a Natural Control for Necrotic Enteritis in Poultry

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Jul 16, 2014) - Amlan International, a leading provider of gut health feed additives for livestock, will present its latest clinical results showing that Varium controls the harmful effects of necrotic enteritis in broilers at the 2014 Avian Immunology Research Meeting (AIRG) July 16-19 in Guelph, Canada.

Varium is a natural, non-antibiotic gut health solution developed to specifically meet producer challenges with necrotic enteritis in poultry. Studies proving the product's efficacy were conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Amlan International.

Dr. LeAnn Johnston, Technical Service Manager at Amlan International, said, "These results are significant in that we were able to advance our hypothesis that Varium, a non-antibiotic, can have a positive result against the harmful effects of necrotic enteritis in broiler production. As the industry seeks options, we feel confident that we are developing beneficial products that meet producer needs and address consumer concerns."

AIRG provides forums for interactive discussions on new research in the general area of avian immunology.

Amlan International is committed to providing safe, effective management solutions that benefit broiler production and help farms achieve peak operational performance.

Amlan International sells toxin management solutions that help livestock producers achieve peak performance in their operation.
