Bayshore Networks(R) Announces Four New SCADA Firewalls

Delivers Policy Enforcement and Flexibility to Rugged Industrial Controls Environments

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 16, 2014) - Bayshore Networks®, which is setting the standard for operational and security policy for the Internet of Things, today announced it is shipping four new Bayshore SCADA Firewalls™ in its Bayshore IC (Industrial Controls) series of appliances. The firewalls are available immediately.

The new models are:

  • The Bayshore IC2000-D, designed to mount on DIN rails in factory environments;
  • The Bayshore IC2000-W, designed to conform to the IP67 standard, which protects against dust and immersion in liquids;
  • The Bayshore IC4000-R, which is ruggedized for shock and vibration protection in hard-hat areas; and
  • The Bayshore IC6000-S, a power substation for industrial controls.

Bayshore's ground-breaking Pallaton™ policy configuration and enforcement technology is embedded in the Bayshore appliances. Off the shelf, Pallaton supports many protocols specific to industrial environments including DNP3, MODBUS TCP, Ethernet IP, IEC 61850, PROFINET, and BACnet.

"Pallaton's flexibility and extensibility enables our Bayshore SCADA firewalls to accommodate multiple industrial protocols and rapidly adapt to new protocols," said Francis Cianfrocca, Founder & CEO of Bayshore Networks. "This has proven to be a key differentiator for our customers, as it ensures a powerful line of defense at a time when Critical Infrastructure and Industrial Controls systems are increasing in sophistication, frequency and scale."

Other differentiators for the Bayshore IC series are:

  • Layer 3, 4 and 7 filtering plus granular content inspection of industrial applications and traffic;
  • Ultra-fast performance, which is critical as industrial networks convert from older networks and are exposed to enterprise networks and the Internet.
