Akkadian Labs Simplifies Provisioning With Beta Release of aPME4.0

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 21, 2014) - Akkadian Labs, a leading provider of "Collaboration Inspired Software" solutions, is proud to announce the release of the akkadian Provisioning Manager Express 4.0 (aPME4.0) beta version. aPME4.0 simplifies the task of adding, modifying and deleting users from Cisco's Unified Communications Manager environment. Users can standardize device management through the use of templates, saving thousands of resource hours per year while significantly decreasing margin for error.

A key time-saving feature added to aPME4.0 is DID management and auto number assignment. "In the past, an IT administrator would have to search through phone extension ranges until an open extension was identified. With auto number assignment, that doesn't have to happen," Akkadian Labs CTO Tom Bamert explains.

Additionally, an updated interface offers increased template flexibility. "We've added drag and drop functionality to the interface that brings a modular approach to building templates. It's now possible to manage multiple CUCM, Unity Connection and IM&P in one template," says Bamert.

Other innovations include the ability to limit provisioning by location, and assign permissions for specific access levels. "Security controls are critical when you've designed a product that is as easy to use as aPME4.0. We spent a lot of time thinking about how we could add the features our clients were asking for. We also tried to anticipate what needs may come up," adds Bamert. The newest aPME integrates seamlessly with Cisco Unified Call Manager 7.0-10.0.
