Cosentry Realizes Significant Growth Via Expanded Service Offerings

Company Momentum and Stability Yields Increased Customer Value

OMAHA, NE--(Marketwired - July 23, 2014) - Cosentry, the leading Midwest provider of Data Center Services, announced today that the company has realized nearly 20 percent growth, with the Kansas City market growing at over 40 percent. The notable momentum is attributed to the company's ability to provide a comprehensive suite of IT infrastructure outsourcing solutions.

"We continually enhance our IT outsourcing solutions portfolio by upgrading data centers and augmenting our offerings with new services such as disaster recovery, cloud-based security resources, and enhanced managed services," said Brad Hokamp, CEO, Cosentry. "Our commitment to delivering this value for our customers has allowed Cosentry to remain a trusted partner to local businesses."

Cosentry is also investing over $2 million to upgrade their data center networking capability, by deploying their Next Generation Network (NGN). Upgrades and enhancements include:

  • New Cisco Platform - Cosentry is leveraging Cisco Nexus® 7000 Series Switches and Cisco ASR 9000 Series Routers to provide greater infrastructure scalability, better operational continuity, and enhanced transport flexibility.
  • New data center interconnections provide a fully redundant, 10 gigabit MPLS backbone for faster data speeds, disaster recovery replication between data centers, and backup services.

"One of the advanced features is Cisco's new ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade), which allows Cosentry to maintain network availability during upgrades to our infrastructure," said Ken Lindsay, Vice President, Client Services, Cosentry. "This, along with additional enhancements, will help improve the overall data centers' network infrastructure. We have done this so that customers can trust their businesses are running a carrier class infrastructure," said Lindsay.

Cosentry also has completed the acquisition and integration of St. Louis based Xiolink, thus extending its footprint in the Midwest. The acquisition has helped the company strengthen its overall capabilities in all markets by fully integrating Xiolink's managed services, managed hosting, colocation, and private cloud computing solutions into its award-winning portfolio.
