Pendleton Strengthens Business Forecast With New Appointments

Heritage Company Looks to Grow Consumer Base and Direct Sales


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Aug 5, 2014) - Pendleton Woolen Mills, a globally celebrated American lifestyle brand headquartered in Portland, Ore., announced today two company promotions, Peter Bishop appointed Vice President Merchandising Women's Apparel and Dean White will add men's merchandising to his responsibilities. Harry Egler joins Pendleton as Vice President of Direct Business Channels.

Peter Bishop will be leading women's merchandising and design teams as Pendleton looks to evolve women's apparel. Bishop is charged with growing its existing customer base by attracting a new generation of consumers. Previously, Bishop served as Vice President of Direct Business Channels for catalog and ecommerce.

Pendleton has hired former Filson executive Harry Egler to fulfill the role of Vice President of Direct Business Channels. During his time with Filson, Egler grew direct business 150 percent over a three year period. Filson was awarded both Multi-Channel Merchant of the Year and Catalog of the Year by Multi-Channel for 2011 and the Gold Award 2012. Prior to Filson, Egler served as global vice president of customer intelligence for Getty Images, where he was responsible for market research and pricing, and held several direct marketing roles at Eddie Bauer and Land's End.

Dean White has been named Vice President Sourcing, Planning and Menswear, adding men's product development and merchandising to his responsibilities. White has over thirty years of experience and brings extensive knowledge in managing worldwide merchandising and sourcing. He has held executive management positions with Paul Frederick, Raymond International and Nordstrom.
