Congressional Candidate Jameel McCline Announces Endorsement From Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - Aug 11, 2014) - Jameel McCline, a Democratic candidate to represent Florida's 20th Congressional District, is proud to announce that he has received the full endorsement from Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief. Mayor Sharief is the first female African American mayor of Broward County.

In a letter to Mr. McCline, Mayor Sharief states, "I like your position on being more aggressive about legislation for prison reform and restoration of rights and your common sense approach to favoring education over incarceration. I was particularly impressed with your working knowledge of the issues facing Broward County. I have so much respect for you and feel very confident that you have what it takes to be our next representative for Florida's 20th Congressional District."

Former Heavyweight boxing champion McCline, age 44, will face Rep. Alcee Hastings in the August 26 Democratic primary.
