REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - Aug. 14, 2014) - The Government of Canada is providing total funding of $164,000 ($82,000 per year) to New Dance Horizons for its 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons.

The Honourable Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, Minister of National Revenue, made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • NDH's annual Performing Series presents the work of regional, national and international contemporary dance artists in three to five main stage productions.
  • The Blueprint Series is a tool for both emerging and established artists and invites audiences to witness works in progress.
  • The Prairie Dance Circuit showcases contemporary Canadian dance that defines the Prairie region as a place of distinctive modern expression: dance made by the Prairie community for the Prairie community.
  • Funding is provided through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund of the Department of Canadian Heritage. This fund gives Canadians increased access to the variety and richness of Canada's culture through professional arts festivals, presentations of live professional performances, and other artistic experiences.
