SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 20, 2014) - Vendini, the company that makes the business of live events simple, has named technology expert William Schaefer as Vice President of Engineering.
Schaefer has 17 years of experience directing the engineering and IT operations of several multimillion- dollar corporations, specializing in mobile applications, cloud computing and the development and deployment of Internet infrastructures and software solutions.

Recently, Schaefer was Chief Technology Officer at Pree Media in San Francisco, where he was a founding member of a team designing a service to allow any information on the Internet to be vetted in near real-time. The platform was designed as a deep analytics system to give accurate insight on the actual influencers across the Internet.

Prior to Pree, Schaefer served as Vice President of Engineering at CyDesign Labs, where he was a founding member of a team designing a full suite of online tools to enable Model-Based Engineering for the U.S. Department of Defense. The goal of the program is to reduce the development time of complex projects.
In addition, Schaefer has been recruited throughout his career for his expertise in leading rapidly growing organizations through innovation challenges. At Care2, he led the redeployment of its social networking and activism site, which had 25 million members, and led all aspects of the company's technical infrastructure.
Schaefer has a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, CA with a concentration in digital signal processing and control systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, CA.
