Vology, Inc. Joins Elite One Percent of Inc. 5000 Honorees by Earning a Ninth Consecutive Annual Listing

OLDSMAR, Fla., Aug. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vology, Inc., an IT solutions provider specializing in networking, storage and virtualization products and related IT services, has continued its nine-year track record as an Inc. 5000 honoree by placing #3,591 in the 2014 listing. The full list, published by Inc. magazine and available at www.inc.com/inc5000, ranks the most successful private companies in America based on revenue growth rates.

"Our consecutive rankings among the Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies continues to impress me, especially since annualized growth becomes harder after hitting $100 million of revenue, which we accomplished late 2013," says Barry Shevlin, Vology's CEO and founder. "However, four of the companies honored nine or more consecutive times are in the IT services industry. Within three years, we expect to be earning as much revenue from our services offerings as from our infrastructure business, so there's still a huge opportunity for us to continue our growth trend."

Only 40 companies on the 2014 list have appeared for nine or more consecutive years. When the list is segmented to exclude any company generating less than $100 million of revenue, the peer group is reduced by half.

Historically, Vology has been ranked among computer hardware honorees, and hardware, or infrastructure, still represents the majority of the company's current business. However, Vology is making heavy investments in its IT engineering services capabilities, which represents a shift in the Company's strategy. This year Vology is the only computer hardware industry honoree to place on the list for nine or more consecutive years.

Inc. magazine began publishing the Inc. 5000 list of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies 33 years ago. Vology joined the list in 2006 at #95 and in 2014 improved on its 2013 ranking by climbing 730 places.
