Government of Canada Supports Growth of Les Machineries St-Jovite Inc.


MONT-TREMBLANT, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 22, 2014) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Peter Van Loan, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, today announced that the firm Les Machineries St-Jovite Inc. (MSJ) has been granted funding to enhance its productivity.

This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $420,000 repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

  • MSJ will use the funding to expand and redesign its buildings and acquire new equipment.

  • In addition to ensuring the company's growth, this project is expected to result in the creation of five full-time jobs, bringing its total staff to 32 people.

  • MSJ is one of the few manufacturing firms in the Laurentides RCM. It specializes in the manufacture and distribution of snow removal equipment and heavy-duty truck platforms and boxes.
