Create a Winning Fantasy Football League

MISSION, KS--(Marketwired - Aug 25, 2014) - (Family Features) If the idea of spending Sunday afternoon on the couch has you excited for the upcoming fantasy football season -- you're not alone. In fact, the Fantasy Sports Trade Association reports that in America and Canada, more than 41 million people participated in some form of fantasy sports in 2014.

This year, join or create your own league by visiting the leader in Fantasy sports, Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/). Along with its award-winning app, players can draft anytime from anywhere, use a pre-draft ranking tool, set conditional waivers on players and much more.

A fantasy football expert
Whether you're a novice or a seasoned player, every fantasy football player can use some expert advice when it comes to creating their winning team. Known as "The Big Noise," Brad Evans is a resident football and college basketball bracketology expert for the world's leading fantasy destination, Yahoo Sports. Brad appears regularly on the two-time Emmy-nominated webcast "Fantasy Football Live," now in its ninth season on Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports Network, and offers his expertise routinely on the YES Network. Brad is a seven-time Fantasy Sports Writers Association nominee -- across three sports -- and five-time Writer of the Year winner, including Football in 2012. As owner and operator of Team Huevos, he also enjoys making bold predictions. You can bull-rush him on Twitter @YahooNoise.

Expert tips for a stellar season
Evans offers these three tips to help make your fantasy football league achieve gridiron glory:

1) If you're drafting in the top five, stick with the workhorse RB.

2) In the bottom half of Round 1, it's ok to stray away from conventional wisdom and go with Calvin Johnson, Jimmy Graham and Peyton. Tons of RB values from Round 3 on.

3) Don't wait on a QB. If you decide to avoid Peyton in Round 1, target either Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers in Rounds 2 or 3.

Evans' List of Sleepers:
1) Carlos Hyde
2) Brandin Cooks
3) Kyle Rudolph

Evans' Must Avoid List:
1) Cordarrelle Patterson
2) Marshawn Lynch
3) Andre Johnson
