Tubby's Sub Shops CEO Robert Paganes and Executive VP Bill Kiryakoza Acquire Sole Ownership of Michigan Company

ROSEVILLE, MI--(Marketwired - Aug 25, 2014) - Robert Paganes, CEO of Tubby's Sub Shops and Executive Vice President Bill Kiryakoza announced they have become sole partners of the Michigan-based company, founded in 1968. They acquired the ownership of Terry Paganes, who was one of the brothers of the original founder Richard Paganes. Robert (Bob) is the last remaining Paganes in the family business.

The new owners announced that Tubby's Sub Shops will continue its unwavering commitment to quality products and customer service, offering a variety of premium quality grilled submarines and other menu items that are available for dining-in, carryout, delivery and catered events.

"We look forward to beginning complete renovations of all our 65 locations throughout Michigan, giving each store a fresh look," said Paganes. "We also plan to expand the company and acquire new franchisees and innovative products." The company has plans to take the sub shops in a new, fast casual direction.

Kiryakoza added, "Our first course of business is to accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in memory of Vince Marchewka. He was the husband of Sue Marchewka, Tubby's director of operations, and suffered from this dreaded disease. We are honored to accept the challenge." Tubby's Sub Shops will be making a donation to the ALS group as well as nominating their business partners including the Detroit Lions, Pepsi and Better Made to complete the challenge.
