LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2014) - Cooley LLP announced today that it advised The Honest Company, Inc. on its $70 million Series C financing round. The Honest Company, co-founded by Jessica Alba, is a premium family brand that provides a broad portfolio of natural, non-toxic products.
Wellington Management Company LLP led the round and was joined by other existing investors including, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Institutional Venture Partners, General Catalyst Partners and ICONIQ Capital. The new round of financing adds to the $52 million raised since the company's launch in 2012, and will enable the company to accelerate growth.
The team advising The Honest Company was led by partner C. Thomas Hopkins and included associates Nick Hobson, Gary Marshall and Danielle Warner.
