GetWellNetwork Attains Meaningful Use Certification

Company's Inpatient Product ONC-ACB-Certified for 2014 Edition Patient-Specific Education Module

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - Sep 3, 2014) - GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced it has achieved certification for GetWellNetwork Inpatient™ (Platform PLS 5.2) under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. The software is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

"The certification of our technology delivers additional value on our client community's investment in IPC," said David Muntz, senior vice president and chief information officer at GetWellNetwork. "For more than a decade, leading health care providers have been using GetWellNetwork to engage patients and families for better health outcomes and performance improvement. Now our inpatient solution can also be used as a strategic tool for incentive payment eligibility."

GetWellNetwork Inpatient (Platform PLS 5.2), which met the requirements for ONC-ACB 2014 Edition Modular Inpatient EHR Certification, engages patients in their care and streamlines clinical workflows in the acute setting, leading to improved outcomes in patient satisfaction, health and safety, and finance and operations. The IPC solution receives both manual and automatically generated orders from an EHR and assigns relevant, patient-specific education to enable patients and their families to take a more active role in their health. Hospitals can include GetWellNetwork's Modular Certification in their meaningful use attestation to meet or help meet requirements for patient-specific education.

Drummond Group's ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, health care providers using the technology of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology -- a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. health care providers.

This EHR Module is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

On July 21, 2014, GetWellNetwork Platform PLS 5.2 received certificate no. 07212014-2754-9 for meeting the following criteria: 170.314(a)(15); 170.314(g)(1, 4). Additional software used: OpenInfobutton.
