Andrew Corney to Represent Sefaira on Panel to Discuss Modeling Tools at ASHRAE Conference


LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2014) - Sefaira, the leader in software for high-performance building design, today announced that Andrew Corney has joined the company as product director to lead efforts to expand the company's product portfolio. In this role, Corney will focus on developing cloud-based software solutions to improve collaboration and productivity among architects and building services engineers during the design process. To this role, he brings more than 12 years of experience as a building services designer, with a particular emphasis on high performance design.

As a product director at Sefaira, Corney will lead development of new cloud-based software products to improve high performance building design by helping architects and engineers collaborate more effectively. Previously, he worked as a vice president and technical director at WSP Group, where he established the specialist high performance design group, Built Ecology. Corney's practical project experience includes acclaimed buildings such as Federal Centre South Building 1202 in Seattle, which was declared an AIA COTE Top Ten Green Project in 2013, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in Los Angeles, Council House 2 in Melbourne, Australia and the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, to name a few.

On Thursday, September 11 at the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Conference, Corney will participate in a "Market-Reality Session" to discuss "Modeling Tools." He joins representatives from Autodesk, Carrier, DesignBuilder USA, EnergyPlus, eQUEST, IES, OpenStudio, Trane and TRNSYS on the panel. This highly interactive discussion promises to educate attendees about what is possible in high performance design with the modeling tools on the market today. Four one and a half hour sessions will cover design workflow; code and rating documentation; net-zero and low energy design; and existing building applications.
