At Emergence we see a tremendous opportunity to build on our first decade of success, and we know that Jake, John, and Julia will be great additions to the team."

Prior to Joe Floyd's promotion to Principal, he was a Senior Associate at Emergence working with many of the companies in Emergence's portfolio, including Box, Cotap, and Bill.com. Joe has also worked in American Capital's technology group, where he focused on investing in fast-growing Internet and software companies, and previously he was an Associate with McKinsey. Joe is a graduate of Wharton and is currently a Kauffman Fellow.

Emergence's newest Associate, John Chen, is coming from Box, where he worked directly for Aaron Levie as the Special Assistant to the CEO after graduating from Harvard.
