"An effective candidate management program is more than just getting top talent through the door; it fosters relationships with candidates, creates transparency into the process and communicates in a timely manner, whether they are hired or not," said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and CEO of Talent Function. "The data from the last four years of the program validates that candidate experience has a real impact on the employer brand, and in turn, the company's overall brand, highlighting the need for employers to get it right. The 62 companies selected as winners of the 2014 North American CandE Awards, truly show that they understand what it takes to provide a transparent, positive and rewarding candidate experience."

The CandE Award program has grown rapidly since its inception, as more companies recognize the role that candidate experience plays in improving employer brand and enhancing their ability to attract and engage top talent. As a result, participation has grown exponentially with more than 170 companies participating in the program and responses collected from more than 95,000 candidate surveys in 2014. No other survey in recruiting is backed by this amount of data. Talent Board shares this aggregate insight to promote positive candidate experience and educate the market on best practices.

The announcement of the 2014 CandE winners is followed by the first-ever Candidate Experience Symposium, taking place at the Hyatt McCormick Place in Chicago on Friday, September 19, 2014. During this event, attendees will learn from the foremost industry experts and CandE Award winners about the best practices that can improve the candidate experience.
