"Maintaining operations and services at the Canadian Coast Guard base in Québec has always been critical to the Government of Canada. This major investment demonstrates the importance the Government places on the safety and security of Canadian waters, especially on the St. Lawrence. It will allow for continued and improved icebreaker and search and rescue services, while offering support to the Port of Québec in accommodating cruise ships as needed."
