BNP Paribas Appoints Yann Gerardin as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking

Alain Papiasse, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the BNP Paribas Group, Will Also Become the Group's General Management Representative for the North American Region


PARIS, FRANCE--(Marketwired - Sep 22, 2014) - BNP Paribas today announced the appointment of Yann Gérardin as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). In this role, he will have responsibility for implementing the 2014-2016 development plan and continuing the process of adapting CIB to its environment.

Currently Head of Global Equities and Commodity Derivatives (GECD), he will take on his new role on 1 October 2014, reporting to Alain Papiasse.

Alain Papiasse, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the BNP Paribas Group, in addition to supporting the development of CIB, will represent the Group General Management in North America, particularly in terms of implementing the remediation plan and new regulatory requirements. With his wealth of experience and knowledge of the region, he will also help reinforce coverage for large clients in order to support BNP Paribas' North American development plan.
