President Obama Recognizes Jackson Family Wines for Adopting Solar Systems Provided by Solar3D/SUNworks

The White House Praises the Company's Plan to Install 6.5MW of Solar Systems Throughout California, Which Is Equivalent to Taking Nearly 1,250 Homes Off the Grid

ROSEVILLE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 25, 2014) - Solar3D, Inc. (OTCQB: SLTD), a leading solar power company and the developer of a proprietary high efficiency solar cell, commented today on President Obama's recent recognition of a Solar3D / SUNworks client, Jackson Family Wines, for its "commitment to increasing onsite solar generation."

The statement, which announced executive actions and "Commitments from Across the Country to Advance Solar Deployment and Energy Efficiency" referenced the installation of 6.5MW of solar systems, provided in part by Solar3D / SUNworks, which is currently in progress. Jackson Family Wines, makers of Kendall-Jackson wine and other popular brands, seeks to deploy solar electricity generation systems across 9 of their California wineries by 2016.

Jackson Family Wines, California is committing to installing 6.5MW of solar at locations throughout California, including the Kendall-Jackson, La Crema, Cambria, Stonestreet, Carmel Road, Murphy-Goode and Hartford wineries by 2016. That's equivalent to taking nearly 1,250 California homes off the grid and will provide over 60% of the company's electricity usage from emissions-free renewable power.

"We are thrilled for the great team at Jackson Family Wines, as well as for other corporations, such as Cisco Systems and Kimberly-Clark, which were included in President Obama's message of support for solar sustainability," said Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar 3D. "While indirect, the President's support of our project speaks volumes about the SUNworks solar design and installation team. We continue to partner with major organizations and entities seeking to make the world a greener place, all while reducing energy costs."

SUNworks is focused on the design, installation and management of solar systems for agricultural, commercial, and residential customers. The company has delivered hundreds of 2.5 kilowatt to 1-megawatt commercial systems and has the capability to provide systems as large as 25 megawatts.
