Inauguration of New Metosak Plant in Sherbrooke

Government of Canada helps finance economic success of Estrie enterprise


SHERBROOKE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 25, 2014) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Member of Parliament for Mégantic-L'Érable, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, welcomes the official opening of the new Métosak manufacturing plant.

Métosak Inc. was granted $470,000 in repayable financial assistance through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program for the relocation of its operations to a new facility and the acquisition of higher-performance equipment.

Quick facts

  • The relocation and acquisitions are part of a process undertaken by the company to improve its productivity, product quality and service offering so as to better meet the demands of major contractors and position itself as a premium supplier in the industry.
  • As well as ensuring Métosak's growth, this project has contributed to the creation of many new jobs.
