Ghostery Hosts Webinar to Unveil Findings From a New Security Study: Cloud-Based Digital Marketing Technology Linked to Widespread Risks

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - September 29, 2014) - Ghostery, Inc., a leader in digital transparency and privacy, is hosting a webinar titled, "Improve Customer Experience, SEO and ROI by Eliminating Non-Secure Tags," on Wed., October 1 from 11:00 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET. Click here to register.

During the webinar, Ghostery Chief Operating Officer, Emily Riley, will discuss the methodology and reveal the findings from a recent security study, "Digital Security Is Serious Business," that examines the implications of widespread risks associated with man-in-the-middle browser attacks, mixed content warnings and SEO problems cause by non-secure code on encrypted web pages.

Almost all of the websites studied (96 percent), ranging from retail, airline travel, banking, insurance and news publishing companies, have these security vulnerabilities.

Companies are experiencing the rapid growth and complexity of the "Marketing Cloud" -- the collection of digital technologies that power, measure, socialize and optimize digital marketing. Digital technologies in a company's Marketing Cloud create a myriad blind spots, from performance to data leakage to security, that can compromise user experience and reduce company revenues.

To address these security issues, Ghostery will highlight its new Marketing Cloud Management (MCM) security module that uses real-time data, aggregated from more than 20 million users. The security module identifies blind spots before they have a harmful impact with lasting brand consequences.
