TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 29, 2014) - Redberry Franchising Corp, the operator of Burger King Canada, has engaged Cushman & Wakefield's retail and franchise team to help the company with its expansion plans.

Cushman & Wakefield's Retail & Franchise team have designed a new strategic growth plan for Burger King in Canada. This research involved the combined efforts of Shawn Saraga, Vice President Retail for C&W, and Alexandra Grudkin, Sales Representative from C&W in concert with Audra Wosik from Burger King Canada.

Determining a winning formula that took into account franchisees' needs as well as the best real estate solutions possible C&W compiled demographic data, population densities, traffic counts, and conducted a competitive analysis. As a result, what started as a 30 node project has evolved into a Canada-wide, small and urban market growth plan that Redberry will implement with the assistance of C&W. The restaurant chain currently has over 280 outlets in Canada.

"For more than 50 years Burger King has made its mark through premium ingredients and premium locations," said Shawn Saraga, Vice President Retail for C&W. "Our goal is to carry on that tradition of smart expansion that has made our client a respected fast food restaurant."

Redberry's expansion plans target two basic formats; an 800-1000 square foot food court model, and an 800-3,500 above ground, end unit or free standing location.
