Caren began acquiring her business experience, knowledge and ambition working in her father's construction company. During college she served as an intern with a CPA company that had a large number of construction firms as clients. As a result of that experience and the interest she developed, she pursued a career in construction accounting for over 25 years. When the construction industry slowed, prior to joining Zalemark, Caren transferred her accounting and construction project estimating experience to the Biotech industry, where she spent three years positioning the company's accounting department to implement the business processes and procedures necessary for the company's move to becoming a publicly traded entity.
