Christopher Grossman Joins Atlas as Chef de Cuisine

Acclaimed Chef Returns to Atlanta to Head Up Highly Anticipated Atlas Restaurant in Buckhead


ATLANTA, Oct. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tavistock Group and Atlanta's famed chef and restaurateur Gerry Klaskala announce that Christopher Grossman, formerly of Napa Valley's The French Laundry, has been tapped as chef de cuisine for Atlas, the highly anticipated new restaurant located in the heart of Buckhead at The St. Regis Atlanta. Grossman served as chef de cuisine at Atlanta's Aria for four years prior to his move to The French Laundry, known as one of the world's top restaurants.

Set to open in January 2015, Atlas will excite diners with its classic American menu, tinged with European influences and emphasis on seasonality – using farm-fresh, local ingredients.

Atlas will have a separate entrance for visitors, as well as one through The St. Regis Atlanta. The restaurant, with its open kitchen, highly styled spaces and its outdoor terraced garden, will draw locals, visitors and residents living in the stately homes situated above the hotel at The Residences at The St. Regis Atlanta.

Grossman began his career working under James Beard-nominated Chef Craig Common at The Common Grill in Chelsea, Michigan, and has held senior positions at Otsego Club and Resort and alongside rising star chef Jeremy Grandon at Jeremy Restaurant.
