MacAulay-Brown, Inc. Awarded U.S. Air Force Contract to Enhance Electronic Military Operations for Next Generation Aircraft

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the United States Air Force (USAF) to develop Sensor Resource Management (SRM) technologies to govern all tactical avionics (radar, electronic warfare, electro-optical/infrared, communications) on next generation aircraft.

Under the terms of the contract, MacB will incorporate SRM with real-time (or near real-time) interfaces to Battle Management and Planning, Command and Control. The synchronization of sensing, electronic warfare, cyber and communications will significantly increase the electronic military options available to support the mission. For example, enhanced passive operations eliminate the need for low observable platforms to radiate enhancing effectiveness and survivability in the Anti-Access Area Denial (A2/AD) environment.

"Survivability of the aircraft and mission success often times come down to detecting and defeating sophisticated radar and jamming technologies," said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB's Advanced Technology Group. "The systems we will design with our USAF partners provide the pilot and ground controllers with real-time information at a level never before seen."

The contract was awarded through the Integrated RF Systems Analysis Task Order Contract (IRSATOC).
