Presentation to Explore Directly Accessing Content From LTO Like Nearline Disk

In his presentation titled, "LTFS Transforms LTO tape into Nearline Storage: Accelerating 4K Media Workflows," Chakravarty will examine the mechanics of a new direct access technology and how it leverages the disk-like capabilities of Linear Tape File System (LTFS) technology to gain free, open, and direct access to content on Linear Tape-Open (LTO) tape. He will provide insight into how eliminating restores and enabling direct access to archival storage can improve workflow and storage efficiencies across the entire media creation and distribution pipeline.
