TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 22, 2014) - On behalf of the Ontario Federation of Labour, representing one million workers across the province, I want to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, the victim of an appalling act of violence at the National War Memorial today. We join you in mourning the loss of this young man's promising life.

On this tragic day in Ottawa, we stand together in support of our sisters and brothers who work each day on Parliament Hill in service of our democracy, and the elected members from all parties. We also wish to extend our sincere thanks to the security personnel and first responders who kept them safe during this crisis.
