Strategic Environmental & Energy Resources, Inc. Announces Launch of Commercial Operations of Its Paragon CoronaLux(TM) Waste Destruction System at Sterall Waste Facility in South Florida

GOLDEN, CO--(Marketwired - Oct 27, 2014) - Strategic Environmental & Energy Resources, Inc. (SEER) (PINKSHEETS: SENR) announced today that its subsidiary, Paragon Waste Solutions, LLC ("Paragon"), has commenced commercial operation of its solid-waste CoronaLux™ destruction system installed in Broward County, Florida. The fully permitted, approved and commissioned facility began full commercial operations for the destruction of medical waste last week. Paragon is also in the process of permitting and opening medical waste treatment facilities in other locations in the United States, including Southern California as well as Europe.

Paragon and its operating partner, Sterall, a Florida-based waste treatment facility, are pleased to provide the South Florida market with the most advanced medical waste destruction system available. Sterall's facility will provide waste destruction services to a wide range of industries, including healthcare, dental, pharmaceutical, R&D laboratories, and consumer product manufacturers.

Paragon's CoronaLux™ technology offers the safest and most environmentally compliant process for the destruction of medical waste, while providing the smallest carbon footprint relative to any other available waste destruction method.

"The CoronaLux™ system was validated by the Florida Department of Health and exceeded all emission requirements," said Dr. Fortunato Villamagna, Paragon's CEO. "The system is now fully operational and our team is ready to provide South Florida with a much needed service. Paragon has already delivered a larger CoronaLux system for our second Sterall location in Palm Beach County. This larger facility will be opening as soon as we complete the permitting process there."

J. John Combs, CEO of SEER, added, "This is a milestone event for SEER and our shareholders as we continue to monetize and take our growing portfolio of disruptive technologies to market. We are extremely pleased to finally have Paragon's CoronaLux system in commercial and revenue-generating operation. Going forward, we anticipate placing our systems directly at hospitals and clinics as well as partnering with other existing waste treatment facilities in other states as we continue to demonstrate the system's safety, efficacy and game-changing advantages for our customers and the environment. We see tremendous opportunities for the CoronaLux systems both in the U.S. and abroad, not only in the medical waste market but in other solid waste markets such as pharmaceutical, VOC gas, and refinery tank-bottom waste minimization."
