The North Bay and District Humane Society Seeks Public's Assistance Regarding Skinned Raccoon

NORTH BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 27, 2014) - The North Bay and District Humane Society is seeking the public's assistance in locating the individual(s) responsible for skinning and dissecting a raccoon in North Bay.

On October 23, 2014, the North Bay and District Humane Society received a call from a citizen who found a deceased raccoon in their garbage can. The raccoon was retrieved from the 700 block of Lakeshore Drive, where it was discovered the animal had been skinned and dissected. The cause of death at this time is unknown.

The North Bay and District Humane Society urges anyone who may have information regarding who committed this act to come forward and contact the Society. The Ministry of Natural Resources has also been contacted.
