Datalliance Delivers Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Innovations for Consumer and Industrial Markets

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - Oct 27, 2014) - Datalliance today announced immediate availability of the latest release of the Datalliance VMI platform with several important new capabilities as well as a number of user experience enhancements. Enhancements in this release were driven by a combination of global user community feedback and Datalliance vision for the evolution of the VMI process. New capabilities are available for immediate use by Datalliance VMI customers and their trading partners at no cost, and with no need to install or upgrade software. Datalliance delivers enhancement releases three times per year, with 45+ releases having been delivered to date.

New and enhanced capabilities in this release are primarily focused on increased VMI Analyst productivity, as well as new capabilities that provide more user control and visibility in areas such as order building, truck/shipment building, promotion/event management, and other key functions.

Some of the specific new or enhanced VMI Analyst tools include highly flexible mass update capabilities, data file upload capabilities, enhanced alert configuration, persistent calculations across multiple locations, ability to re-initiate transmission of PO acknowledgements, expanded PO detail history, enhanced exception reporting and more. As with every release, a number of general technical and performance enhancements are also included to further increase overall system scalability, reliability and availability.
