These awards acknowledge exemplary performance to pre-defined standards, including on-time delivery, quality, cost reduction, and several areas of flexibility and support. Chosen from among Lam's preferred global suppliers, these companies also stood out for their willingness to exceed performance requirements, for example, by rapidly delivering solutions in support of challenging new product introduction cycle times.

Award recipients were announced on October 23 at the company's 10th Supplier Day, during which Lam Research focused on collaboration and creating opportunity for mutual success with its customers and suppliers. Executives from suppliers around the world attended the event, where the following six companies were recognized:

  • Edwards Limited (West Sussex, United Kingdom)
  • Jabil Circuit, Inc. (St. Petersburg, Fla.)

In addition, MKS Instruments, Inc., (Andover, Mass.) received special recognition for its support and important contributions to integration goals during the Lam-Novellus merger.
