JAMF Software Pledges to Empower Educators and Students Through the White House ConnectED Initiative

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwired - Oct 29, 2014) - JAMF Software, the leader in Apple device management, today announced its participation in the ConnectED Initiative, a new plan implemented by President Obama to enrich K-12 education in America. JAMF's involvement will enable schools to manage Apple technologies within the classroom via the pro bono use of its flagship solution, the Casper Suite.

Under the ConnectED Initiative, the U.S. federal government will aim to connect 99% of American students -- regardless of income -- to technology, via next-generation broadband and high-speed wireless networks in their schools and libraries, by 2017. New resources will ensure that teachers have the tools, support, and training they need to improve student learning, as well as access to interactive demonstrations and lessons from experts, and the opportunity to collaborate with other educators worldwide.

JAMF Software is partnering with Apple to get the right devices in the hands of the right people to transform the learning experiences of students in K-12 school districts throughout the country. By deploying the Casper Suite on Apple devices provided through the ConnectED Initiative, JAMF Software will help schools manage iPads in a simple, scalable and secure way. JAMF will also offer free software training services to ensure the best use of the Casper Suite in participating schools.

"JAMF Software has a long history of helping schools and giving back to our community," said Dan Kinsella, General Manager, JAMF Software. "We are honored to take part in the ConnectED Initiative and hope to help schools that wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to benefit from Apple technologies."
