Marcos Yamil Molina Diaz arrested


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 30, 2014) - Canada Border Services Agency

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the arrest of Marcos Yamil Molina Diaz who was featured on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list.

Molina Diaz is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for being convicted of assault causing bodily harm. He was arrested by the Toronto Immigration Taskforce (ITF) as a result of a tip from a member of the public.

  • On October 23, 2014, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and CBSA officers arrested Molina Diaz at an address in Toronto. Molina Diaz was taken into custody without incident, and is being held by the Peel Regional Police on outstanding warrants.
  • The Toronto ITF is a joint forces operation comprising personnel from the CBSA and the RCMP who work together to apprehend high-risk migrant fugitives.
  • To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 59 individuals in Canada, of which 49 have been removed. Additionally, 15 other individuals were located abroad.
  • Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-888-502-9060.
