New World Stages Is Located at 340 West 50th Street in New York City; Admission Is by Invitation Only, via the Guest List

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 30, 2014) - Rainy Day Productions' founders, Deborah Rayne and Evan B. Azriliant, announced today that the theatrical production company will be presenting the world premiere of Jean Giebel's new play Chasing the River at New World Stages, on Monday, November 10, at 7pm. There will be a wine and cheese reception starting at 6:30pm, and the show will start promptly at 7pm. Admission is free, as long as you are on the guest list.

According to press notes, "The play is set in a small town in Pennsylvania, as a young woman returns home to the scene of the horrible events that changed the course of her life forever. As she searches for a way to make peace with her past, new revelations and unexpected reunions clash with her memories of her childhood. Forced to face the painful truth, she begins to realize that even though life dealt her a losing hand, there might still be a chance to turn things around. It all depends on how she plays her cards."

Directed by Will Nunziata (The Act, The Lillias White Effect), the reading will feature Tony Award winner Cady Huffman (The Producers, The Nance, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"), 3-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch (9 to 5, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Lincoln Center's A Minister's Wife), 3-Time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello (Parade, Lestat, Mama Mia!), Deborah Rayne ("Nurse Jackie," "Unforgettable," Spirits of Exit Eleven), Ella Dershowitz (HBO's "Phil Spector," "Two-Bit Waltz," Intimacy), and Arturo Ruiz ("Broad City," "Sunbelt Express").
