Star Navigation and International Communications Group, Inc. Announce Launch of Joint Flight Deck Communications and Aircraft Health Monitoring Solution


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 18, 2014) - Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SNA)(OTCBB:SNAVF) ("Star" or the "Company") and International Communications Group, Inc., ("ICG") of Newport News, Virginia, are pleased to announce the launch of an integrated solution for Status Monitoring, Analysis, Reporting and Tracking System ("S.M.A.R.T. AIRCRAFT").

This launch expands on the previous Reseller arrangement between the two companies, and is the result of the integration between ICG's NxtLink Series of satellite based flight deck communications systems and the STAR-ISMS® (see press releases April 15, 2014 and October 21, 2013).

The S.M.A.R.T. AIRCRAFT solution brings to an operator a comprehensive flight deck communications and airframe / flight management solution, providing real time data that is transformed into added-value information and services, permitting improved fleet and operations management. The system also provides reliable and global Iridium® satellite based flight deck communications LRC Voice, ACARS and FANS 1/A CPDLC for both ATS and AOC communications services.
