Equafy Announces Its Launch, Aims To Simplify Cross Browser Testing

Equafy announces the launch of its complete cross browser testing tool, aims to change the way individuals and businesses test their websites across all major browsers from one centralized hub.

SOFIA, Bulgaria, Nov. 26, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Founded by a senior team from global information services group Experian, the Equafy SaaS cloud-based solution can test any website on numerous Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari versions for visual bugs and individual page issues. The affordable and user-friendly service -- suitable for web developers, testers and website owners to validate their work before they launch their sites -- can save users time, license and infrastructure costs in three simple steps.

Now, with its recent seed funding from European-wide entrepreneurial support fund LAUNCHub, Equafy is set to be among the most promising digital startups in South-Eastern Europe.

Through their webpage, users begin the process by entering a specific scenario, listing a particular web address to be tested -- the most important pages of which will be selected and listed by Equafy's Intelligence Scanners -- and finally tested across any selected browser against the users baseline browser.

Results of individual pages and steps are then displayed through the service's "Repository" dashboard where users can see page differences, missing elements, and layout of the site's design.

"Our service has already gone beyond what is offered by other testing tools on the market by creating a simple and centralized verification platform that can analyze sites with dynamic content, changed when the page is refreshed and even verify advertisements," says Co-Founder and CEO of Equafy Slavy Slavov. "To compliment our testing tool, we've developed an intuitive results page where users can actually see the differences and faults of their sites as detected by the Equafy system, allowing them to take quick and effective steps to rectify any issue," he adds.

This visualization feature, Slavov explains, which automatically verifies the site's look and feel on one screen, removes the false positive effect challenging most testing tools on the market that ultimately impeded effective visual bug removal.

Additionally, the cloud-based solution offers Action Recording scans for its users that who -- through a simple installation of Equafy's Firefox plug-in -- can verify individual steps (or user interaction with the page) recorded through Selenium IDE software.

"Not only can clients add past Selenium IDE recordings onto Equafy's cloud solution, but they can also record page browsing scenarios that can help them pin-point specific bugs in mere minutes," says Slavov. "If they are not planning on recording tests but only want to utilize the scan function, users do not actually need to install anything on their current web browsers. They just dictate the address and hit go!" he says.

As the complexity of sites grows alongside a need to adequately perform across all user platforms, Equafy's service -- which can save clients up to 80% on their time and costs -- will undoubtedly become an invaluable addition to the any business' toolkit in the crucial digital market.

"The software will be able to quickly tell an eCommerce shop, for example, if their clients can effectively search for a product, 'add to basket' and 'checkout' on all browsers and screen resolutions," says Slavov. "From personal experience I have seen past enterprise clients having to make 30 to 50 daily changes on their site, each of these changes being a potential risk which could bring down their site," he adds.

With its public beta launch in early October already generating more than 30,000 tests from users across 40 different countries, the team at Equafy aim to integrate an increasing amount of features to the SaaS in order to re-shape the cross browser testing industry.
