Education Innovators Will Gather to Discuss Digital Learning Tools

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Dec 3, 2014) -   Boston's Edtech Community, Campus and Accelerator LearnLaunch today announced that it will hold its third annual conference Across Boundaries: Delivering on Edtech's Promise on January 23-24, 2015 at Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts. At this year's conference, entrepreneurs, educators, strategic partners, students, and investors from around the United States will gather to discuss top trends and opportunities in education technology, examine how the most promising digital learning tools are being implemented in educational settings, and discover strategies to successfully scale an edtech startup.

Since its inception in 2013, the LearnLaunch Conference has grown into the premier education technology conference in New England. This year's conference will focus on empowering the education technology community to build, use, and deliver effective and engaging digital tools and learning experiences.

The conference will feature industry leaders as keynote speakers, experiential panel discussions, interactive workshops, networking events, and an edtech product showcase. More than 600 people are expected to participate, and attendees will get a sneak peek at cutting-edge innovations that are not only transforming learning but also changing the way educational institutions do business.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Knewton Founder & CEO Jose Ferreira
  • GSV Advisors Founder & Managing Partner Deborah Quazzo
  • Summit Public Schools Founder & CEO Diane Tavenner

Panels will cover everything from early learning to adult education and range from "Personalized & Blended Learning" and "Principal Hot Seat" to "College Completion: Does Big Data Matter?" and "Competency & Mastery-Based Education". The conference kicks off with a summit for investors in the business of education.

Sponsors include Pearson, Cengage Learning, Curriculum Associates, McGraw-Hill Education, and The Parthenon Group.

"I look forward to the intense dialogue that happens at this conference among the varied participants of New England's edtech ecosystem," said Dave Balter, founder of Smarterer, which was recently acquired by PluralSight.
