Escape from Saskatchewan Penitentiary-Minimum security unit


SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - Jan. 8, 2015) - Correctional Service Canada

On January 7, 2015 during the 8:55 p.m. count in the minimum security unit at Saskatchewan Penitentiary, staff members discovered that Kevin Michael Sheets was not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Prince Albert detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Kevin Michael Sheets is 47 years old, measures 170 cm (5'7") in height and weighs 73 kg (161 lbs). He has a fair complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. He has tattoos on his left and right arms. He is currently serving an indeterminate sentence for Second Degree Murder and Breach of Recognizance to Keep the Peace.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Kevin Michael Sheets is asked to contact police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
