Government of Canada provides support for two commemorative projects
MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwired - Jan. 8, 2015) - The City of Moncton is receiving a total of $568,900 in funding for two projects under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program (BCAH).
Robert Goguen, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament (Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe), announced the funding today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
Funding of $500,000 is being provided through BCAH's Legacy Fund component for the Downing Plaza Legacy Project. The Moncton125 Festival is receiving $68,900 through BCAH's Community Anniversaries component.
