Rodizio Grill Raises More Than $21,000 for the Image Reborn Foundation During Its Nationwide Fundraiser

Rodizio Grill Presents Check to Foundation Founder and Board Members

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - January 08, 2015) - Rodizio Grill, the Brazilian Steakhouse, raised $21,730 for the Image Reborn Foundation during its second annual nationwide fundraiser. Last month, Ivan Utrera, President and Founder of Rodizio Grill, presented the check to Foundation Founder, Dr. Renato Saltz and Board Members.

During October, Rodizio Grill donated 100 percent of its Rabanada dessert sales, along with additional donations from customers, to the Image Reborn Foundation. The restaurant also donated the proceeds from an art auction; world-renowned artist "Walmiru" created a custom piece of Brazilian folk art for the auction held in October. The Foundation's "Living Beyond Breast Cancer" program provides no-cost weekend retreats to breast cancer survivors; these retreats help women reclaim their sense of personal power and empower them to live beyond breast cancer.

"Over the past 15 years, this organization has helped thousands of women worldwide regain their lives," stated Utrera. "I am beyond thrilled our donation will have an immediate and substantial impact in the emotional healing of breast cancer survivors."

Image Reborn was founded by Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr. Renato Saltz, a close friend of Rodizio Grill's President Ivan Utrera. As past-President of the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery and President-Elect for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Saltz created the Image Reborn Foundation after seeing a need that wasn't being met.

"We put these women through all of the treatments and surgeries that fix their bodies, but found that they still are very sad when they come back to the clinics for checkups," stated Dr. Saltz. "Some have family issues that are still unresolved. Many go through divorce or lose their jobs and have problems with their children, especially their daughters whose bodies are in the process of developing or have already developed. I realized that there was still a lot for these women to deal with that we, as physicians, weren't addressing."

Taking place in Park City, Utah, the healing retreats are customized to the needs of those attending, and may include discussion groups, breast cancer education, nutritional information and exercise opportunities, journaling, massage therapy and rejuvenation. This year, one-day retreats were added to accommodate those unable to leave home for a full weekend. Rodizio Grill has been a proud sponsor of Image Reborn since its inception.

In addition to the 100 percent Rabanada dessert sales, many customers gave additional donations and in many instances at the Utah Valley location, guests would "pay it forward" with Rabanada desserts, buying desserts for unsuspecting guests in the restaurant. Out of the entire national effort, the Rodizio Grill Utah Valley location sold the most Rabanada desserts during the fundraiser, raising $2,515.80 of the total $21,730.

About Image Reborn Foundation

Image Reborn Foundation provides no-cost healing retreats to women diagnosed with breast cancer to empower them to live fully beyond breast cancer. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Image Reborn was founded by a breast cancer survivor and a breast reconstructive plastic surgeon who understood surgeries and treatments alone do not heal a woman with breast cancer. Navigating the journey to health and wholeness after a breast cancer diagnosis can take a toll on women financially and emotionally. Image Reborn Foundation is dedicated to rejuvenation of the spirit of women facing breast cancer. Retreats are designed and facilitated by a highly professional staff with backgrounds and experience in addressing the special concerns of women with breast cancer. There is no-charge for the program that includes pampering, education and discussions, camaraderie, stress-reduction and other activities. Retreats are funded through donations from Susan G. Komen, Playing for Life Foundation, individual donations, corporate sponsorships and others. For more information, visit www.ImageRebornFoundation.org.
