Heckler Design's New Modern Hardware Solves Impending Point of Sale Changes for Small Merchants

As Small Merchants Embark to New Territory for EMV and Apple Pay Acceptance, Heckler Design Releases New Modern Hardware Solutions to Support the Shift

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Jan 12, 2015) - The big question at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 2015 Big Show is what 2015 will bring to the world of point of sale for small merchants. In advance of the impending compliance changes, Heckler Design, a made-in-the-USA product design company, has announced the latest additions to its popular WindFall product line to support small merchant acceptance of EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) card readers and NFC payment terminals.

The new products address the prevalent trends in point of sale in 2015: the migration to EMV card readers and the acceptance of Apple Pay.

The new WindFall product lineup includes WindFall Stand for Square for Chip Cards and WindFall Cradle for EMV Terminals. This lineup offers elegant and affordable hardware, compatible with several EMV card readers and NFC terminals.

"Small merchants are feeling the pressure to accept Chip Cards and Apple Pay," said Dean Heckler, founder of Heckler Design. "It's important they have beautiful and affordable hardware options to help their businesses thrive during these technology transitions and beyond."

WindFall Stands for Square Reader for Chip Cards are designed specifically to complement the most affordable chip card reader available. Part of the Works With Square program, these WindFall Stands are tailored to Square's upcoming chip card reader and feature an extended swipe path for a more accurate and consistent swipe, and chip card dock. The stands are compatible with iPad 2, 3, 4, first generation iPad Air, and all generations of iPad mini. Available in four colors.

With WindFall Cradle for EMV Terminals small merchants can install an elegant and affordable chip card and Apple Pay terminal without replacing any of their pre-existing point-of-sale gear. WindFall Cradle is compatible with the most popular EMV and NFC devices including Ingenico iCMP, Miura Shuttle, and Datecs BluePad-50. Available in six colors.

The new WindFall products for small merchants will ship in January. Available at www.HecklerDesign.com.
